Enjoy programs and be involved in the life of your community college as part of Life Enrichment, an educational, entertaining, and cultural program tailored to today's busy lifestyles.
Life Enrichment is for area adults and meets the first Tuesday of every month in conjunction with the school year (Sept.- Dec. and Feb.- May). Meetings take place in the Clifford/Stone Community Room at the Hubbard Welcome Center on the El Dorado campus. Meetings are open to everyone and there is no charge to attend. Those who attend regularly are encouraged to register to receive monthly newsletters announcing the programs.
Speakers present on a broad range of topics - from history to modern technology and art to science - and past performers have included singers, storytellers, dancers, and actors.
9 a.m. - Dr. Tamara Daniel, 91制片厂鈥檚 president, will welcome our Life Enrichment members.
9:10 a.m. - Judy Bastin, director of libraries and archives at 91制片厂, will share the fall Book Talk books and schedule.
9:15 a.m. - 91制片厂 Centennial 鈥 91制片厂鈥檚 Centennial is this year. Join us as we take a look back at the history of the college. Ronald Rozzell, librarian/archivist and financial assistant, and Hayley Hobbs, director of donor relations/systems, will share the history of the college along with the activities and plans for acknowledging the anniversary.
9:45 a.m. - Break
10 - 10:45 a.m. - John Wise will talk about his YouTube channel 鈥淭ravel with a Wiseguy鈥 and answer frequently asked questions he gets about his travels, the business of YouTube, and his journey from being a full-time track coach at Wichita State to a full-time YouTube creator (and now part-time track coach at WSU). He鈥檒l talk about the favorite places he has visited, how he plans his trips, what his least favorite things about constantly traveling are, and much more.
