91��Ƭ��, in partnership with Augusta Public Schools, is proud to announce the launch of a new Career and Technical Education CyberIT pathway designed to place high school students on a direct path to high-wage, high-demand career opportunities in information technology and cybersecurity.

The pathway is built on stack-able, industry-recognized, standalone credentials that give students meaningful flexibility after high school. Whether students choose to continue their education at the college level or enter the workforce directly after high school, these credentials provide a competitive advantage by accelerating access to careers in the information technology field. Classes will be taught by 91��Ƭ�� instructors and are open to students outside of Augusta.

“Our goal is to ensure students leave Augusta High School prepared for what comes next, whether that is college, the workforce, or both,” said Matt Ward, Superintendent of Augusta Public Schools. “We are grateful to partner with 91��Ƭ�� in developing a unique CyberIT pathway that expands opportunities for students at Augusta High School and across 91��Ƭ�� County.”

The CyberIT pathway responds directly to regional workforce needs, as employers continue to seek skilled professionals in IT support, networking, and cybersecurity roles. “It’s a huge market from the employment side, and it’s going to be around for a long time,” said Ken Duty, Broadband Network Manager for Velocity Internet in El Dorado.

Last semester Duty had a 91��Ƭ�� cybersecurity student intern with Velocity, and he hopes to continue bringing in 91��Ƭ�� students. “Hopefully now we can get more people into the field by reaching them earlier. For the high school level I think these classes are perfect,” he said.

91��Ƭ�� leaders emphasize the importance of providing students with early access to post-secondary coursework. “This partnership reflects our shared commitment to meeting high school students where they are and helping them see clear, attainable options for their future.” said 91��Ƭ�� President Dr. Tamara Daniel. “Earning industry-recognized credentials while still in high school gives students a strong start and helps strengthen our local workforce. It is a win for students, families, and 91��Ƭ�� County.”
